Bioimplant Scandinavia AB was founded in 2003 and is specialized in systems for replacing damaged joints in hands and fingers. Bioimplant Scandinavia is certified according to ISO 13485, MDD Annex II, which safeguards that the company produces and handles the products in a safe and standardized way. The BioSpring® implants are CE-approved for the European market and so are the BioSpring® instruments.
Bioimplant Scandinavia is a company within GS Development AB, which was founded in 1992 and today has a turnover of over 60 million Euros. The GS Development group consists of Aimpoint AB, manufacturing red dot sights for hunters and professional users; Camurus AB, research development of drug delivery systems based on lipids; GRANULDISK AB, manufacturing pot washing machines for professional kitchens, and Bioimplant Scandinavia AB.
GS Development has been owned for two generations by the Sandberg family. President and CEO is Per Sandberg. The company headquarters are situated in Malmö with additional facilities in Lund
